What to pay attention to when using a Portable Xenon Searchlight

2026-08-25 0 Leave me a message

The Portable Xenon Searchlight generates high pressure at the moment of starting, and the inside of the bulb is high-pressure xenon gas. The lamp head temperature is very high during operation, containing ultraviolet rays, and there are specific safety points for operation.

1、 Startup and operation safety

It is strictly prohibited to directly look at the light source beam. Strong light contains ultraviolet rays, which can easily cause eye damage. Do not direct it onto the eyes of humans or animals.

Do not frequently turn on/off the switch. It is recommended to turn it back on at least 3 minutes after turning it off, as frequent switching will significantly shorten the lifespan of the xenon bulb.

After the lighting fixture is turned on, the temperature of the lamp head and glass lens is extremely high. It is forbidden to touch the glass part of the lamp head to prevent burns; Do not use fabrics or debris to cover the lamp head, as obstructing heat dissipation can burn out the lamp and even ignite surrounding combustibles.

Do not violently bump or hit the lighting fixtures while they are on; Xenon bulbs belong to high-pressure bulbs and pose a risk of bursting when impacted.

Do not expose flammable materials at close range to avoid high temperatures causing fires.

2、 Cooling, maintenance, and bulb replacement

After shutting down, do not immediately disassemble or replace the light bulb. It needs to be cooled naturally to room temperature before operation; The light bulb has just been extinguished and is still in a high temperature and pressure state, posing a risk of explosion.

When replacing light bulbs, original bulbs of the same specifications must be used, and other power models cannot be mixed; The startup module has high voltage, non professionals should not open the inside of the lamp body to prevent high voltage electric shock.

Do not touch the quartz glass tube wall directly with your hands when taking the xenon bulb. Oil on your hands can cause local overheating and damage to the bulb after it lights up. It is recommended to wear gloves when operating.

The lenses and reflective cups can only be gently wiped with a soft cloth, and rough materials are prohibited from scratching; The lens has cracks and is prohibited from further use.

Regularly check the sealing ring to ensure its waterproof and dustproof performance; Damaged seals can cause water ingress, ash ingress, and burning of internal components.

3、 Power supply and charging (battery version)

When charging, be sure to turn off the light switch and use the original matching charger. Do not mix chargers of other specifications.

Pay attention to the positive and negative poles and do not reverse them; The voltage should match the rated voltage of the equipment. If the voltage does not match, the stabilizer and light bulb will be directly burned.

When using, if there is flickering light, it is usually due to insufficient battery. It should be turned off in a timely manner and not continue to be used forcefully to prevent battery damage caused by overdischarging.

Long term storage, replenish electricity every six months to prevent battery from being depleted and scrapped; It is recommended to disconnect the battery for long-term use to avoid overheating caused by accidental startup.

4、 Environmental usage requirements

When using in rainy or humid environments, confirm that the lighting fixtures are waterproof and intact; Do not immerse the lamp body directly in water; It is forbidden to directly pour cold water under high temperature conditions, as thermal expansion and contraction can cause glass breakage and water damage.

After use in coastal, salt spray, and corrosive environments, wipe the outer shell in a timely manner to reduce corrosion.

Do not operate continuously at full power for a long time in high temperature environments. Stop the machine in a timely manner to cool down and protect the stabilizer and light bulb.

Explosion proof lamps with damaged glass or sealing structures are strictly prohibited from being used in flammable and explosive hazardous areas.

5、 Storage and transportation

Store in a dry, ventilated, and cool place, avoiding high temperatures and direct sunlight.

Proper buffer protection should be taken during transportation to avoid severe vibration and impact on the light bulb.

Keep away from contact with children.
